From December to March the trade wind turns the island in the perfect paradise for kiters, surfers and wind surfers. Thanks to excellent facilities, the perfect wave hunt is open to novices and experts.
Boa Vista is one of the windsurfing world championship stages. From the south of Sal Rei, the bay (protected by the Sal Rei Ilheu) does not have sea currents and shallow water. The ideal conditions of still water are present when there aren't the Atlantic waves and you can safely play "race course" or do speed.
For kite surf the ideal time is November, when the wind is between 12 and 30 knots and when it is possible to practice sport safely with waves or flat sea.
Da dicembre a marzo, l'arrivo dell'aliseo trasforma l'isola nel paradiso perfetto per kiter, surfer e wind surfer. Grazie alla presenza di ottimi centri, la caccia all'onda perfetta è aperta sia ai neofiti sia ai più esperti.
Boa Vista è una delle tappe del campionato mondiale di windsurf. A sud di Sal Rei la baia, protetta dall’Ilheu di Sal Rei, non ha correnti marine ed è priva di acqua bassa. Non ha shore break nel punto di entrata e uscita dall'acqua. Le condizioni ideali di acqua piatta sono presenti quando non c'è l'onda Atlantica e si possono tranquillamente disputare gare di "course race" o fare speed.
Per il kite, le condizioni ideali ci sono quando il vento è tra i 12 e i 30 nodi. Il periodo ideale parte da novembre, quando è possibile praticare lo sport in maniera sicura sia nelle onde sia con mare piatto.
